'Friday Night' is about a summer romance. It is unclear what will happen to the relationship when summer is over. These summer flings can become captivating and stressful if they are not handled properly. The song was mainly influenced by blink-182, Eric Clapton, and European dance music.
FROM THE ARTIST:
'Friday Night' is about a summer romance, and is once again written about a combination of events and inspirations. I wrote this song my senior year of high school and we were never really happy with any one recording of this song, even though we tried for many years. This was our final attempt, recorded in a professional setting.
